six months in photo

six months

Well, I have been in a disarray since coming home from Canada. After party hopping, staying up late and jet setting, Mom and Dad have diagnosed me with a problem: sleep deprivation. Mom and Dad have been bouncing me to sleep on a yoga ball since birth and I. am. rebelling. No, I will NOT stay asleep when you bounce me and my eyes close, heck no, techno. Over labor day weekend, they bounced me for 2 hours. Yep- TWO hours. Did I sleep? No. Did they sleep? No. Who won that battle? They did...

So, right before I turned 6 months, Mom and Dad have moved me into my own room. Honestly, once I put my tummy down to sleep, I realized I didn't need to be in mom and dad's room anymore. I was just milking mom for milk in the middle of the night, waking her up 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 times a night. So, after learning how to fall asleep on my own, I have been sleeping so much better. I'm usually up only one or two times a night.

On September 17th, I decided it was time. It was time to army crawl. I have been grunting to move for a while now, using rolling as my prime mode of transportation. But now, I can do it. (And, now that I know I can do it, I'm going to take a break and pick it back up in October). Mom's been working on uploading a video of me, but Blogger is taking a long time to load. (Come on, Blogger, get with it!).

Mom and dad decided to start solid food this month, 2 days before I turned 6 months. I had this green stuff called avocado. It's supposed to be good for me. I don't really like it, to be honest, but I try to be a good sport and eat it. After that, I've had sweet potato, rice cereal, oatmeal, and I tried to like it. But until I had pears-I wasn't into the solid food business. But pears, they rock my world.

I am also cutting my first teeth. My bottom left came up and all of a sudden, I felt crappy again and my right started to come up along with it. I like to chew anything and everything in sight. I am like a puppy. Give me a chew toy, stat!

What is also really exciting is that Mom quit her job at the church so she can be a personal trainer. It's so exciting because while she is studying, she will be home with me (yay, boobie all the time!! woo hoo!!). Dad is going back to school, too, which means he'll be home with me more, too. I am excited to see both of them more.

Paris? Milan? Rome? no...Victoria at 5 months old!

Before I turn 6 months old, I became an international traveler! Grandpa Greg and Grandma Leslie planned a trip to Canada before Mom found out she was pregnant with me. Instead of kicking Mom and Dad off the trip, they let us come along for the ride, passport in hand!

We spent the night at Grandpa Greg's for the first time - ever. I slept pretty well but we got up really early! (I mean early...) We jumped in the cars and I got to go on a commercial airplane for the very first time! I did so well on the plane and slept-didn't bug anyone!

We flew into Seattle and I took a nap as we waited for the ferry. How cool-I was on a HUGE boat. Grandpa Greg walked me around the interior of the boat a lot and I was a big hit with the ladies.

We had so much fun in Victoria. Our first day we went to the Fisherman's Wharf which was really close to our hotel. We stopped by Jackson's Ice Cream shoppe (and of course took the obligatory picture) and walked around the wharf. Of course they would name the shoppe after me. I am an international traveler, after all.

I visited my first ever Canadian mall-5 floors of shopping madness...

Where they thought I was stealing sunglasses and kicked me out of the store...(I was really looking for a pair of Versace for the rest of my trip - oh well, their loss)

We took a tour around Victoria in a little harbor ferry. I heard all about the history of Victoria (blah, blah, blah)...

Visited the Parliament building during the day-Grandpa Greg and Grandma Leslie said it's really cool at night (sadly, my parents would have caught me sneak out, so I stayed behind...)

On one of our last days we visited Butchart Gardens. Lot of flowers and stuff. Uncle Greg documented our day on film.

In remembrance of M. J. ...

I got lots of hugs and kisses from family...

Got to ride in my big boy stroller for the very first time!
And was even scouted for a modeling contract for a local restaurant!
And on the way home, I rode in a 12 seater sea plane to Seattle!

All in all, we had so much fun on our trip (even though I cried for 2 hours straight on mom and dad's anniversary...way to kill the mood). I had so much fun getting loved on by everyone.

Thanks Grandpa Greg and Grandma Leslie for making me an international traveler!

my peeps

I am pretty popular. Not to be cocky or anything. But I have some friends that are about the same age as I am. We hang out. It's fun.

This is Logan, and his dad, Jordan. Logan is 3 weeks younger than me (April 5th).

This is Natalie. She is 9 days younger than me (March 23rd) and I have known her since she was first born. I love holding hands with her.

This is Sebastian and Jacob. Sebastian (in orange) in 4 days older than me, and Jacob is 3 weeks younger (April fools day!) Mom met these ladies online when she was hugely pregnant with me and now they are buds!

I am not sure how I have time for my incredible social life, but Mom makes it a priority that I see my peeps-and these are just the ones that are close to my age! I have some older friends, too, like Jameson and Analise, Ty, Tyler and Jayden just to name a few. Maybe you, too? Will you be one of my peeps?

welcome to the Mac

today was a big day. I visited my first ever county building to get my passport for my first international trip in august (we are going to canada). We also rolled back to belly and got a bit frustrated so we rolled back on to our back.

Mom introduced to her Mac computer today. We took some fun pictures with Photo Booth. I was pretty enthralled with the baby on the screen.
