my peeps

I am pretty popular. Not to be cocky or anything. But I have some friends that are about the same age as I am. We hang out. It's fun.

This is Logan, and his dad, Jordan. Logan is 3 weeks younger than me (April 5th).

This is Natalie. She is 9 days younger than me (March 23rd) and I have known her since she was first born. I love holding hands with her.

This is Sebastian and Jacob. Sebastian (in orange) in 4 days older than me, and Jacob is 3 weeks younger (April fools day!) Mom met these ladies online when she was hugely pregnant with me and now they are buds!

I am not sure how I have time for my incredible social life, but Mom makes it a priority that I see my peeps-and these are just the ones that are close to my age! I have some older friends, too, like Jameson and Analise, Ty, Tyler and Jayden just to name a few. Maybe you, too? Will you be one of my peeps?

welcome to the Mac

today was a big day. I visited my first ever county building to get my passport for my first international trip in august (we are going to canada). We also rolled back to belly and got a bit frustrated so we rolled back on to our back.

Mom introduced to her Mac computer today. We took some fun pictures with Photo Booth. I was pretty enthralled with the baby on the screen.

its been a been few weeks in the life of jackito

Well, Jackito has been learning a lot this past week (maybe 2).

#1-unswaddle me
mom has needed to do laundry for about 2 weeks now and Jack has officially been out of swaddlers for about that amount of time. At first he did wake up a lot at night (well a lot for him is 2-3 times) but I think he was in a growth spurt. And last night (drum roll, please) he slept from 7:30-1:30 (Mom woke up...um..a bit uncomfortable). He was still asleep when I picked him up for a quick dream feed. Put him back down and slept until 6:30! so proud!

#2-rolling over
yes, on 6/23, J decided that it would be fun to roll over-back to tummy first! Usually babies do belly to back, but not my guy. Then on 6/24 he did a belly to back roll! Making mama proud!

#3-giggles and laughs
well, he's been giggling for about a month now but he's been out and out laughing this week. SO cute!

when I get a chance, I will post a quick video of him doing said things. Yay...Jack!

i'm a month, a month, i'm a big kid, i'm a month!

well, i have now been alive for one whole month now! Mom and dad keep telling me how darn cute I am... over...and...over. I'm trying to not let it get to my head, but what can I say? I'm ridiculously good looking. I think I could do this for a career. (insert Zoolander quote).

Mom put me in the outfit i can home in and it fits much better now. It's like a real outfit on me! I no longer look like my parents starve me!

I have been growing, which is good, and learning new things all the time. i have been practicing my smiling. I'm really good at smiling while I am farting and give mom and dad little smiles here and there.

well, thats all for now!

Hello World!!

well, here I am. I have arrived. I wasn't sure exactly how I was going to make it into the world but I did. Mom had a long labor but she says I'm worth every moment. She's glad I am here. She was ready for me to come out. I heard her voice while I was in the womb so when I came out, I recognized her. Dad met me too-he sounded familiar and once I was held by him, i was at home.

My time in the hospital was nice. I was in the room with mom and dad the whole time except when they had to do a few routine tests on me. Mom was a little drugged the first day but she held and fed me a lot. I even had my first poop in the hospital! Dad was the lucky winner who changed my first diaper. It was sticky and black and hard to clean up. But I hear all babies do this, so I am not embarrassed.

On Monday the 16th, the doctors and nurses told me I could go home with mom and dad. I was a little bummed to leave the hospital - it was like a hotel! - and get in the car seat but once I was in, I was as content as could be. I even fell asleep on my way home. Mom and dad made a place for me and I feel right at home. I am so happy to be out of mom's body and here now!
